Reflection

The work was premiered by Lindsey Jacob in 2008. The material for Reflection was generated algorithmically using Common Music, a Lisp and Scheme-based environment for computer-aided composition. Lucidity

For trombone and electronic sounds.

The piece is a semi-programmatic dream sequence in two sections; the first section flaunts chasing rhythmic gestures, interweaving the trombone and synthesized sounds, while the trombone becomes the central timbre in the liberally synchronized second section.
