2019 NCCC Fine Arts Conference this weekend

The 2019 NCCC Fine Arts Conference is this weekend (Feb. 21–23). As the Music (At Large) representative on the North Carolina Community College AFA Association board, I am excited to help organize and lead the poster sessions during the conference. In addition, I am excited to present my research regarding Music Bilateral Articulation Agreements and experience with curriculum revision and creation (see earlier post for presentation details). Here is an article from the Salisbury Post about the conference and economic impact in the community. A picture of my colleague, Ayumi Nakamae, and I presenting during the conference last year is included with the article . . . and my baby bump made an appearance. I honestly have to say it is nice to see the image of a working mother in a professional context. We do exist!
